one of my toes on my left foot is swollen so i've been in flats for the past 2 days.

today was a nice relaxed sunday. i ran errands, had family over, then baked brownies.

i'm wearing the boots i got yesterday. its safe to say i love them already.

let me just say that i hate taylor swift.. and the only reason is because whenever i hear one of her songs on the radio it gets stuck in my head for about a week. ANYWAY.. today was a lazy jeans/sweatshirt/uggs day, but i DID get a chance to go thrifting for the first time in a while. i couldn't get decent pictures but i just wanted to take some time to show off a pair of boots i found.

when i'm at the thrift stores i like to look through the shoe racks multiple times.. i want to make sure i've seen e v e r y t h i n g.. twice. i found these boots my third time around tonight.. it pays to be persistant!

because of that, i seem to have a good eye for finding vintage leather footwear.. and its perfect, because i loooove vintage shoes.

and then you see, when ever i find something vintage i have to hop on the computer as soon as i get home to research the brand. i guess you could say it makes me feel better about my finds..

today was a pretty uneventful sunday. i baked some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. then i put some studs on a pair of heels. they were too plain so i spiced them up a bit.



i just starting stabbing holes through them with no plan. i'm pleased with the result. i think i'll be wearing them a lot more now. anyway, moving on.. here's my outfit for today. comfy, warm, & cheap. perfect.

yesterday i went thrifting and found this great faux fur vest. it doesn't look so yellow in real life.. it was $8.

funny thing about those boots... these boots were one of my earliest thrift finds.. i found them a couple years ago at the local salvation army for $7. when i moved back to new york from nevada i lost them. a couple days ago (6 months later) i found them in a box, still packed up from the move! we were reunited and i fell in love with them all over again..
