something didn't feel right about todays outfit. maybe it was the fact i was wearing a zip-up & probably should have worn a cardigan instead. maybe its because i was thisclose to wearing black boots with this. anyway, here is what i wore today.

i did some thrifting today & i'm pleased with my finds. i can scratch a couple things off my fall/winter 09 wishlist.



apparently denim (along with every other 90's trend) is coming back. this was originally from h&m. when i got home i realized it was missing a button. no big deal, they can be replaced.. but then while i was putting it on a hanger i realized theres a spare on the tag inside. even better. AND it was only $6.

its seems that after his outburst at the VMAs last night, theres no love left for Kanye. whatever, i still like him.

during a time when rap attire consisted of 3XL shirts, sagging jeans, & AF1s.. this guy came through with blazers, button-ups, cardigans, quirky glasses, well-fitting pants, & dope kicks.

i don't care if he's rude.. the dude's got style.

another gloomy autumn day. normally i won't mix grays with browns, but today i figured i'd go for it.. and i'm quite pleased with how it looks.

i've really been thinking too much about dr. martens. my birthday is in a few weeks & i'm almost certain i'm going to buy myself a pair of docs.. i'm thinking something white & black. but i've also been eyeing the colorful floral ones though.

can't wait for the clouds to break

todays weather would have been amazing, were it not for the rain & wind. the temperature was cool, but not cold. i'm in love with autumn because its the perfect time for tights, boots, & layers.. which just happens to explain my ideal outfit.

today was one of those days. it gave me the chance to wear my new pair of black boots & a scarf that hasn't gotten enough of the lovin' it deserves.



my boyfriend, a friend & i wandered into kohl's and i ended up leaving with a fedora! i've been eyeing them for a few months but never found one i really liked. although, i hardly EVER go to stores that aren't thrift stores & you can't be too picky when searching thrift stores, haha. i'm happy with it. originally $20, marked down 50%, and then got my boyfriends 15% employee discount on top of that.. it ended up being $8.85. i can live with that.

i've been slacking..

its been a while. i can't keep up with this.. i'll start by showing off a few of my recent finds. i've been dying to find a pair of perfect black boots.. last week i even had a dream about boot shopping! i finally found THE PERFECT pair.




they were $6 (!) & the brand is "Wanderlust". i've never heard of it, but after doing some research i'm under the impression its a Canadian brand. they are in amazzinnggg condition. the soles are absolutely mint.

i also found these..





the photos don't do them any justice. they're actually really deep black. they are vintage Zodiac USA leather shoes.. scored them for $10! they fit perfectly. soo excited.

today i just HAD to wear them. this was my yard sale-ing outfit..





suppp terrible posture. i realize these are not the best or most flattering pictures, but they get the job done!

in case you're wondering about the necklace, i found it at a thrift store in ellenville. its great for the fall & is very urban outfitters-esque. it was only $5. excuse the cat hair on me.. and that light spot is just a glare on the camera!



unfortunately i don't have any yard sale finds to post, as i didn't find anything.. but i found a dollar on the ground! so i think i made out good today anyways.

i'm glad the weather is starting to cool off. my outfits have been boring lately, so i'm looking forward to different colors & lots of layering for the fall. i fore see lots of shorts, tights, & boots in the near future.
